Pull up a chair and join us for a weekend of games! MarsCon returns January 15-17, 2027, at the Holiday Inn Virginia Beach-Norfolk, with open board and card gaming, an RPG program in development, and returning video gaming.
Open gaming with TAGS

The Tidewater Area Gaming Society (TAGS) is returning with its board game library. Try something new, revisit a favorite, or settle in for a game with friends. Bring your own games or browse their library! Open gaming is a great way to make gaming part of your convention weekend without planning every session in advance.
RPGs and scheduled board games
We’re recruiting RPG GMs and anyone who’d like to teach and/or run a specific board game at a scheduled time. We’re building the schedule now. Specific games, session times and sign-up information will be announced as they are confirmed. RPG sign-ups are planned through Warhorn, with a separate schedule for board game sessions.
Gaming guests
Our Gaming Guest of Honor is Steve Jackson, creator of Munchkin. MarsCon also welcomes Media Guest of Honor Jacob “Jake” Pauwels of Roll for Sandwich. Watch for guest programming announcements as plans are finalized.
