MarsCon Guest Policy

How your Guest Application will be processed!

If you would like to be a Guest at MarsCon, please fill out the application form, located on the website.

When you apply to be a guest at MarsCon, our Guest Liaison and Programming Director will compile a list of applicants. They will look at what each individual would supply to MarsCon. They will take into account all your information, visit your website or Facebook page and if need be contact other conventions you have attended. They will then create a list of invitee’s.

You will receive an invitation, sent to the email you supply, so make sure it is one you check often. Also check your spam folder occasionally, as our email may get sent there.

Once you have received your acceptance email – YOU MUST REPLY TO THIS EMAIL! Or otherwise we don’t know that you have accepted our offer. If you supplied a Bio and Picture for the website in your application, you do not need to send another one, unless you have updated both.

Unfortunately, not everyone that applies will be accepted.

Programming ideas!

Once we have your email reply, you will receive a follow up email from our Programming Director with instruction on how you can submit your programming ideas. PLEASE DO NOT SEND PROGRAMMING IDEAS IN YOUR ACCEPTANCE LETTER! They can get lost in the shuffle and never reach our Programming Director.

Finally, after our Programming Director has formulated their Programming ideas, they will send them out to each Guest to sign up for the ones they would like to participate on. The Programming Director has final say on who will be included on panels. Some panels will be more popular than others.

Marscon Guest Admission Policy

MarsCon requests that all Guests participate on at least five or more panels throughout the weekend.

Status One (Featured Guests): Guests of honor, featured entertainers, or other guests invited to present five hours or more of programming will receive MarsCon memberships for themselves and immediate family members (spouse, significant other, or child) OR themselves and one helper or friend. The names of family members, friends, or helpers must be submitted by December 15th or a free membership will not be issued.

Status Two (Contributors): Guests invited to present one to three hours of programs as individuals (this does not include those performing in groups) will receive a MarsCon membership for themselves and may purchase memberships for immediate family or one friend or helper at a fifty percent discount. The names of family members, friends, or helpers must be submitted prior to the Con or no discount will be issued.

Status Three (Performers): Guests presenting only as parts of groups will receive an Event Pass (a nametag with the event listed on it) for the event in which they are participating. They may purchase day passes or full memberships at half price if their name has been submitted as a Performer prior to the Con.
